The Injury Management (IM) Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Baiada’s Injury Management / Return to Work Program, supporting workers as they recover at work and assisting Baiada to meet their obligations as required under workers compensation legislation. The IM Coordinator is a key link between the worker, the insurer, all treatment providers and the work site as they rehabilitate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to liaising with all relevant parties involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of injured workers and the coordination with the site for the safe return to work of injured workers. The IM Coordinator will advise and assist in meeting statutory compliance in those areas of responsibility. The position must also carry out all work in a safe manner and adhere to Standards and Systems implemented by the Baiada Group.

The position is based at the Adelaide Processing site overlooking both Moss Rd and Pooraka. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on injury management legislation.
  • Support employees through injury recovery.
  • Maintain Workers Compensation data.
  • Facilitate worker recovery and suitable work opportunities.
  • Prepare and review recovery plans.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders.
  • Implement RTW program and maintain statistics.
  • Ensure correct payment for injured workers.
  • Promote health benefits of work.
  • Improve policies and systems.
  • Monitor return to work programs.
  • Coordinate medical reviews.
  • Participate in WHS projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Workers Compensation regulations.
  • Communicate and implement regulatory changes.
  • Monitor and report Injury Management performance.
  • Support Injury Management Coordinators.
  • Improve Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Compliance.
  • Follow Food Safety and Quality procedures.
  • Perform duties safely and reduce environmental impact.
  • Meet CoR responsibilities and complete training.
  • Avoid breaching HVNL/CoR or providing false information.

Skills & Experience:

  • Certification/experience in injury management.
  • 3+ years in the field.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Prompt, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Leadership and positive attitude.
  • Empathy and enthusiasm for helping injured workers.
