Home Care Support Worker - Georges River Council

Our Home Health program delivers in-home support services to our aged care customers to help them live independently, supported and empowered, within their own homes and communities.

We are recruiting Home Care Support Workers for multiple positions in  Georges River Council and Surrounding areas including- Beverly Hills, Bexley, Bexley South, Hurstville, Kingsgrove, Narwee, Peakhurst, Peakhurst Heights, Riverwood, Allawah, Blakehurst, Connells Point, Hurstville Grove, Kyle Bay, Mortdale , Oatley, Penshurst, South Hurstville, Arncliffe, Banksia, Bardwell Park, Bardwell Valley, Bexley North, Brighton-Le-Sands, Kyeemagh, Rockdale, Turrella, Beverly Park, Carlton, Carss Park, Kogarah, Kogarah Bay, Monterey, Ramsgate, Sandringham and Sans Souci

What’s On Offer 

• Contract Type: Permanent Part-Time or Casual (based on your location and availability)
• $29.81 - $33 per hour (dependent on experience) + 11.5% super + travel allowance of $0.92 per KM + paid travel time

Your New Role

• Help at Home: such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation etc.
• Transportation and Personal Care: Experienced staff assist customers with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.
• Client Awareness: Building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations with ongoing support and training
• Safety Practices: Adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe

Key Requirements 

• Current Australian Driver’s License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle 
• Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
• Willing to travel across all suburbs that the branch services
• Proficiency in an additional language such as Mandarin/ Vietnamese/ Spanish/ Arabic/ Lebanese/ Greek is valued but not mandatory
