The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is responsible for implementing the world leading National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in Australia.
The NDIA currently supports more than 649,000 NDIS participants with a significant and permanent disability, their families, and carers of those living with disability. Participants are people who apply and meet the access criteria for the NDIS. The NDIS is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and provide peace of mind for every Australian. For many Australians in the NDIS, this is the first time they receive the disability support they need.
Are you passionate about strategic leadership and delivering quality outcomes for NDIS participants needing Home and Living supports? Do you have attention to detail? The EL1 Assistant Director Service Delivery - Home and Living Operations is responsible for actively supporting evidence-based decision making within specialist teams to enhance participant outcomes.
The Branch supports providing participants with more options of how they can set up support in a home and living arrangement. You will also be contributing to the Australian Government initiative to improve the way we make Supported Independent Living decisions. This initiative focuses on how we can make consistent, equitable and sustainable decisions aligned with the best interests of participants and their families about safety, quality, and outcomes.
In this dynamic role you will operate within a highly experienced and high performing team. You will be prioritising quality team outcomes in a timely manner, shaping staff skills, building knowledge and capacity and contributing to a holistic team approach.
The successful candidate will be able to develop and maintain a high performing operating rhythm with their team, they will have previous leadership experience in managing remote teams including a focus on positive performance outcomes for participants.

While this role is ideally performed from ACT- Deakin, VIC - Richmond, NSW - Wollongong , Surry Hills, & QLD - Brisbane, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
