Casual Pool Staff

Oberon Pool is a vibrant and welcoming aquatic centre dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for our community. With the upcoming swim season (October 2026 – April 2027), Oberon Council is looking to expand our team with enthusiastic and reliable casual pool staff. 

As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our patrons. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about swimming, customer service, and creating a positive environment for all. This role is ideal for those looking to gain experience in the aquatic industry, or for those who simply love the water and want to be part of a dynamic team.

We are looking for casual staff in the following roles:

• Senior Lifeguard
  • Supervise pool users and other staff in the pool environment; whilst being responsible for the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the Oberon Pool complex. This role is classified under Council's salary system as a Grade 7 - $40.75  per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading.
• ​Junior Lifeguard
  • Provide support to the senior lifeguards in the supervision of pool users and undertake a range of maintenance and operational requirements of the pool facilities. This role is classified under Council's salary system as follows:
    • ​T2 16 years - $20.58 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading.
    • ​T3 17 year - $24.21 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading.​
• Learn to Swim Instructor
  • ​Provide professional, practical and theoretical instruction to students in the Oberon Council Learn to Swim Programs. This role is classified under Council's salary system as a Grade 8 - $42.73 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading.
