About the Roles

We are currently seeking applications for upcoming APS4 opportunities at the NDIA within our Service Delivery Group, where you will work closely with participants and their representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gathering information from participants and planning partners for high-quality planning and decision making
  • Working with participants to identify support options and achieve their desired outcomes
  • Providing high-quality customer service as the first point of contact
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to connect participants with the right services Using policies and legislation to make funding decisions for participant plans
  • Resolving complex participant issues and complaints
  • Completing administrative tasks and maintaining records
  • Contributing to key performance indicators and planning targets
  • Responding to enquiries about access and eligibility
  • Advising participants on access decisions, their rights and ensuring they are well-informed
  • Supporting Team Leaders with improvement strategies
  • Conducting suitability assessments for specialist planning streams
  • Assisting with project management activities.

How to apply:

We have some roles available immediately and more to fill in coming months. This process aims to establish a pool of eligible candidates who can be promptly offered positions as they become available.

  • Application submission: start your application by clicking the ‘Begin’ button on the application page. You will be asked to fill in your details and attach your resume. 
  • Online assessment: you will receive a link to an online assessment within two weeks, which must be completed within seven days of receipt. You can check the online assessment and prepare yourself for the test using the practice test.
  • Merit pool: successful completion of the online assessment, a review of your resume and a positive reference check will result in a merit pool placement. The pool remains active for 18 months from the date of the job posting. A merit pool is a list of candidates who have been assessed and ranked suitable to fill a vacancy.  
  • Notification of results: you will be informed if you have been added to the merit pool within six to eight weeks. 
  • Job offer consideration: candidates in the merit pool may be eligible to receive job offers during the 18 months the merit pool is active. 

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
